Things I am Grateful for Today
- Gonna attend Hope Church Dawn of the Gospel later with my LG mates
- Woke up with an aching body due to last night game. I know it is ironic but I like the aching feeling
- Had a very nice supper at Kembangan’s mutton biryani. Super delicious
I love soccer but I have to minimize it because of my temperament. I tend to get very angry and wanna fight if the opponent is a scumbag. The tendency to hurt him is high – the odds aren’t good for both of us. I’ll still play but not as often and I’ll learn to control not just the game but my temper as well.
Went to Dawn of the Gospel and found the teaching to be very intriguing. Out of all the 3 bible classes I had attended, this is the one I enjoyed most. A specific point that struck me was about faith.
Firstly, I always that faith is merely believing. It’s so much more than that. Secondly, I also thought that in order to have faith I cannot doubt but today I learned that that isn’t the case. Faith is not the absence of doubt; it is the means to overcome it. Without doubt, I cannot not have true faith. Abraham, the father of faith also doubted when he was 99 years old. Despite doubting he acted upon the promises God had promised him. That is what makes all the difference. Act in spite of doubt = faith.
