Things I am Grateful for Today
- Mum cook dinner today
- ICA offers an instant passport photo service

Went to ICA building to renew my passport and I felt nostalgia the moment I went into the building. The last time I was here was 5 years ago in 2014 before traveling to Germany for 5 weeks. It gave me a lot of memories. What I was doing then, how much I’ve grown and most importantly, how much suffering I would have to endure shortly after 2014. What would I have done now if I know what was gonna happen? There were so much thoughts that ran through my mind the moment I entered ICA.
This was what I said to myself when I received my passport back then “Great, the next renewal is in 2019. By the time I’m here in 5 years, I’ll be mega rich, be super fit and marry a beautiful hot girl.” – none of those happened and they are not so important to me now. It’s ironic how much can changed in just 5 short years.
Another funny thing happened in ICA, this auntie freaking call me “xiao di” when I was queuing up at the service counter. “小弟, 这里是 collect passport 的吗?” I feel like replying “小 your head, I take out my didi whack you, you’ll have 20 stretches on your head.” Just kidding! But seriously sia. “小弟,” I’m 29, not 19.
