Things I am Grateful for Today

  • Michelle for doing a decent job on her first day of work. The only thing that needs improvements is her ability to write a more detailed Product Description. Other than that, she did okay!
  • Marisse did an excellent job with her Product Description albeit I couldn’t contact her from 7.00 to 8.30pm. She didn’t finish her work at 6pm. I need to set a routine and a deadline with her starting from tomorrow. Otherwise I wouldn’t know what to expect.
  • Mum made delicious vegetable soup for dinner again!

Gratitude Journal

I was reminded by the WW2 books I read and I am grateful that we are living in a peaceful country today. Foods are plentiful and I can shower and sleep whenever I want on most days. I was mostly sleep deprived while serving NS and during outfield there is no way to have a proper shower, it kind of sucks but still quite manageable. Fighting in an actual war is going to be a lot tougher because foods – more often that not – will be in shortage, sleep will definitely not be enough and hygiene is gonna be a problem if not taken care of. Let’s not start with POWs and the poor souls who have to go through concentration camps in those days.

Today, I am extremely grateful for all the little things I can do in a peaceful country. Access to clean water, electricity is on, foods, shelter, shower, sleep and even access to plenty of entertainments! Sometimes, life sucks in a peaceful country but it wouldn’t suck as bad as when you’re in a war – be it a soldier or a POW. Be grateful for the little things today!
